Service Technician - Brisbane

Full Time Rocklea, Queensland

As a Service Technician at Spitwater, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-pressure water cleaners and other industrial cleaning equipment. We have opportunities for both Field Technicians, who will travel to customer sites, and Workshop Technicians, who will be based at our Rocklea facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Technicians:
    • Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair industrial cleaning equipment.
    • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers and distributors.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Workshop Technicians:
    • Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on equipment within our Rocklea workshop.
    • Assist in preparing and testing equipment before it is dispatched to customers.
    • Work closely with the team to manage workshop operations and maintain inventory.

Common Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical advice to customers and distributors on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Prepare service documentation, including invoices, quotes, and maintenance records.
  • Collect and analyse data related to service activities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve service goals and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

What We are Looking For

  • Experience:
    • 5-10 years of experience as a Service Technician, preferably with small machinery or industrial equipment.
    • Specific experience with high-pressure water cleaners is highly advantageous.
  • Qualifications:
    • Technical or trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical fields.
    • Preferred: Restricted electrical work license or equivalent certification.
    • Preferred – Forklift Licence
  • Skills:
    • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication abilities for interacting with customers and team members.
    • Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Attributes:
    • A strong commitment to customer service excellence.
    • Ability to work independently in the field or collaboratively in a workshop environment.
    • High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
